According to a study conducted by El Paso Banking rates, CD Rates in El Paso are higher than the national average. Specifically, the national average for 24, 12 and 6-month CD rates is 0.89%, while the average for the same terms in El Paso is 1.05%.
This is good news for El Paso residents who are looking to make a secure investment. An initial investment of $100,000 would earn $2, 860 in a 24-month CD. A 12-month CD would earn $531 with the same initial deposit amount, while a 6-month CD would earn $366.
While these numbers aren’t the highest CD rates the nation has seen, a CD offers a solid investment that is virtually risk-free, unlike high-return investments that tend to be risky.
